Bethlehem Connect is an independent plan for frequent electric transit linking the Saucon Valley, Lehigh University's three campuses, the Southside, Downtown Bethlehem, Moravian University and North Bethlehem, built on the LANTA bus service that runs today. Its first phase, in and around Bethlehem and Hellertown, would be two electric bus lines on existing streets serving 10 station areas, with a gondola and extensions as options to study, and a second phase would add bus corridors past Bethlehem only if LANTA agrees. It is in the planning phase: nothing is funded or built, the target years (2029 and 2030) are conditional, and no agency or institution has reviewed, adopted or endorsed it.
